The level of service has been appalling. I cannot believe companies like this still exist. To elaborate further
1. The individual mentioned above has absolutely no customer service skills. He is extremely rude and does not follow up on any requests. We have had to chase him up for weeks before getting a response and he does not take any initiative!
2. The company and its staff have an attitude of not caring and only doing the bare minimum. They are not proactive
3. Beware of this company as they will not disclose many facts about the property. We moved into the most disgusting property and were not informed that it would not be professionally cleaned nor cleaned to a decent level. The property, when we moved in, had faecal matter in the toilets and blocked shower drains with hair and disgusting muck all around the showers.
4. The company does not communicate to the landlord and we had to chase up many times before the landlord took any action.
5. We paid all our rents on time and satisfied our contract. At the end of the tenancy Nigel and the landlord delayed significantly in providing us with details of any issues. We had to chase up every few days for this. The estate agent did not care and did not follow up. They don't even provide any updates. I have never dealt with such an incompetent bunch who do not care for their customers. A totally useless company.
6. The property that we left was in a much better condition as stated in the check in report. Once the issues were provided - took them over 2 weeks after the end of the tenancy! , and very minor issues too!, the letting company took very long in arranging for someone to value the cost - in my opinion this would not even be more than £100. After complaining for a long time over the phone they told me that finally someone would go out that day. I waited a few days and no one valued the damages yet. I called them up a week later and they mentioned that the valuer had just visited the property! and that they were waiting on him to provide an estimate. By the way, this discussion was with Nigel again, and he was very RUDE, on the phone. If you are ever looking to rent in Surrey, my advice is to stay clear of this guy and company. They will not provide any service to you and have a 'don't care' attitude.
I still have not received my deposit and have no idea on what to do. It is very unethical and unfair given that I paid all my rents on time and never had any issues.
