I feel that this company neither cares for the tenant or the landlord.
I lived there for in all 2.5 years due to not wanting to pay more agency costs to move again and was let down on numerous occasions.
On moving in I was informed that there was to be a raise in rent cost within 10 days, they didn't seem to know that this was a breach in contract (month's notice required). On going through the inventory at the start of the tenancy with them and querying incorrect items/changes/damage I was threatened with a section 21, no discussions.
We spent 6 months with a broken window; security of the property and tenants was clearly not important to the 4 agents we had to remind multiple times weekly that this needed fixing. Due to the fact that the house had been broken into before we moved in (we later found out), this should have been a priority.
Other items such as a broken dishwasher/microwave however, were replaced fairly quickly.
One redeeming factor was the manager of the branch. We should have not really needed to speak with him at all but on multiple occasions he managed to get us answers from the other agents as they failed to contact us.
We all constantly felt that they were trying to grab money from us, upping the rent over inflation rates on each yearly contract renewal and also with the deposit being returned at the end - we were happy at the end to be out of there
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have responded to issues with the property, had a basic grasp of customer service and property law
