I was advised by an estate agent at Peter Alan to use their convayancing team as it would be "simple". If I knew then what I do now I would have not gone near them. They managed to delay my searches by 3 weeks due to a "computer system problem"! Then took a month for the searches to come back after it was finally ordered.
A woman called Hannah phoned me after a couple of weeks (I kept calling them because I expected to be in by the first week of July and this was towards the end of July) and "promised" me that the searches would come back within 3 days and that she would even send me an email to confirm this in writing. Lo and behold I recieved no email and then the searches came back over a week later! Absolutely fuming with this company. I thought buying a house was stressful enough without all of this. Even the solicitors, that were instructed by Movewithus said that they're not being helpful.
My advice:- go with somebody local and save yourself all of this stress!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Done their job - ordered my searches on time and not over 3 weeks later!
