Still a tenant waiting for my contract to end soon!! I have had nothing but trouble with these so called agents. First of all, you do not need a deposit insurance they try and sell it to you saying you can not move in without this, yes you can its a shamble move for money making!!
The viewing, everything went well agent didn't seem to know anything about the property but we like the location,
Second viewing with the family, agent ran into bedroom and shut the blind. We opened it finding the window to be shattered and cracked he told us the previous tenant had done it and the landlord would get it fixed by the time we moved.
Move in day, window was not fixed.. Spoke to agent she told us "it's not to late to move out". Considering I had just moved from Leicester I was furious and told her that she was rude and the window needed fixing.
The sent a handy man that took the window out, but put it back in making the cracks worse saying its special glass.
A month we got burgled, any sympathy no.. They just wanted to know if we owed them any money if any of furniture had been damaged.
3 months later, window still not fixed due to heavy rain the water was coming through the cracks of the window and leaking onto the carpet, landlord came over and explained to us that key properties would take money from anyone at any given chance. The handy man cam over and it was an episode of Jeremy Kyle between key properties and the landlord. Key properties wasn't shy of slagging me off and wanting me to pay for a Brocken window.
I'm moving out in a month, god knows whats to happen then about my deposit from reading the reviews. Word of warning don't expect good service you won't get it.
