My parents bought a house through Abbotts of Swaffham and we have found the aftersales service non-existent from this agency. The house is a new build, my parents are nearly 80 and as I live abroad I am not able to help them, therefore when they moved in and found some problems with the house, I phoned the agents to see who we should go to, to get these problems sorted. The woman I spoke to was most unhelpful even though I explained my parents were both feeling unwell and I was not in the country. Since then my mother has also been into the agency to ask for a contact number/address of the builder, who according to my mother is a young girl, but again was told they could not help. The rest of the people in this town have been very kind and helpful, they have nothing but praise for the Drs, the post office and the bank, but the agency is a different matter, I would not recommend them to anyone else, if they cannot offer assistance to an elderly couple who don't know how to go about getting things sorted and are out of their depth with a new house, then I believe they cannot be trusted to sell houses.
