This agent first accepted my property for marketing about 5 months ago.
They were provided with detailed information and photographs but managed to advertise it incorrectly and had to be corrected on numerous occasions. Both for typos but also for actual content!
Their web site search does not work for Rentals.
When I'd had no enquiries in 2 months I went into their premises to see what they were actually doing and discovered they don't display rental properties at all! They merely put them on an A4 paper listing and which you have to ask for. The day I went in, they'd run out and needed to copy more!
They're wholly reliant on the websites. But when I went in they had no idea how many people had clicked through to view my property and merely said "it would just take time" but they normally get "loads".
After 3 months I phoned them and asked them to reduce the price. They didn't do it! So it's still displayed incorrectly and at the old price!
After nearly 5 months with not a single viewing I've phoned to be told by one member of staff that they've had loads of enquiries but no one wanting to view and they don't have any feedback! But was I happy with the price!? I said I wasn't happy with their service so to remove the property and stop marketing it.
I was then passed to the Manager, Fiona who said they've not had many enquiries at all!
When I said that was not what I'd just been told by the other person and in fact I was dissatisfied that I was in a situation where I'd had to phone them to ask what was happening and so I wanted them to stop managing the property. She said that was good because people had told her I was difficult to do business with.
Suffice it to say they weren't doing anything anyway and I'm not dealing with them !

What agent could do to change your mind?
Basically they just needed to do the job and market the property and provide feedback and be proactive in the event of my needing to be aware of something or needing to do something.
