Chiswell and Co were very helpful when we were looking at properties, it was not until we moved
in that we received terrible customer service. Chiswell and Co are in charge of looking after the property that we currently live in, yet when we email and ring them to inform them of problems with the property they are less than helpful. When we arrived to move in they had not painted any of the walls or replaced things previous tenants had broken (something that is expected when moving into a new property).
Before we moved in, there was work to be done on one of the rooms. However on when we arrived to move in, the work had not been done. Therefore we contacted them and they assured us that the work would be completed in 2weeks...2weeks past and no one had been in to complete the work. Finally 2 months after moving in a gentlemen came round to complete the work. He was there for half a day and left without completing the job, and explained to us he would be back the next day to finish it off. Over a week later no sign of him
We have spoke to Chiswell and Co and as always they just come back with the same answer 'we will look into it'. One of the owners Lisa Chiswell was extremely rude when we explained our frustration.. What happened to 'the customer is always right'.
I would recommend that prospective tenants use a different estate agent, as although they are very friendly prior moving in, after the contracts are signed and money is paid..it's a different story!
