Hello Reader/s
I can't really stand review sites sometimes, but the guys at Chase Evans have asked to me to post a review of my experience with them, due some of the post they get. As a tenant I've been more than happy with their service. They'll always really helpful and fairly honest to you about what's going on.
However like with all rental property, you have to make sure you return the property to the state you found it in. Just paying someone to clean the place it's never enough to get your deposit back.
I've rented property for many years now and unless you return the property as you found it, then of course you will lose some of your deposit. That's a no brainer! You can't buy a car, used it for 3 years and then expect the same amount of money back surely....?
Whenever I've moved out of a property, my partner and I have repainted, we've made sure all the furniture has been professionally cleaned, carpets and or any upholstery etc. Because at the end of the day, if we don't do it, then the landlord will and that affects the amount deposit we get back. Estate agents don't control this, this is managed through the check in/out companies who are all independent bodies.
Anyway, I just thought I would post something, because reading through some of these post, some people actually think it's the estate agents who are responsible for taking their deposits off then, when it's not at all, it's the check in/out companies who work on behalf of the landlords.
