When arriving at our property on moving in day, the state it had been left in was appalling.
- up to 10 binliners full of rubbish outside with a horrendous smell
- dirt along all the counter tops
- food and dirt in the oven
- a broken fridge, no freezer draws and only one fridge shelf
- very few working lights
- broken cupboard doors
- broken glass under one of the beds
- a hole in one of the wardrobes
- dirt all over the floor
- a broken Hoover
- rubbish shoved into a cupboard
- marks all over the walls
- broken extractor fan
- numerous socks, shoes etc from previous tenants

We were disgusted to see the state the house had been left in. Upon sorting out our rent for the property we were told it would be professionally cleaned before we moved in. How the house has been left is unacceptable.

I would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to communicate to us why our service has not met your expectations.

Please accept our apologies for the condition of the property when you took occupation. Regretfully on this occasion the contractors who were assigned to carry out the end of tenancy work let us down. The day the checkout inspection was carried out, the contractors were instructed by ourselves to carry out a list of maintenance and cleaning tasks on the property. For reasons unknown, this was unfortunately not fulfilled to our usual high standards. I can assure you know that the work has since been carried out and the property has been professionally cleaned and all maintenance work has been completed out to the highest possible standards.

I trust the action taken on your behalf will bring a sense of resolution and satisfaction concerning this matter.

Again, we highly appreciate your feedback and we look forward to providing you the level of service you expect from Walton Robinson.

Your reply is not true. This is exactly what hapened to us.Firstly, could only get 4 keys upon tenancy starting. Finally got the other 2 after threatening to withhold 2 lots of rent! Banister broken when we moved in, which was a Health & Safety breech, as was the painting of the sash windows closed! Any deductions taken from the damage deposit are to ensure the property is returned to the condition it was in at the commencement of the tenancy according to the inventory report, with reasonable wear and tear taken into account. Unfortunately if properties are not returned as they were handed over then it can take some time for deposits to be returned to tenants. We have to arrange for works, await invoices and liaise with landlords before we are able to release any amounts. We do apologise if there has been delays in correspondence.
