Really disappointed from start to finish. Alarm bells should've rang when I got a call saying the agent couldn't get into the house and asked if there was another key. Turning the knob on the door would've done it but wasn't even attempted! Though the market was fairly slow it would've been nice for the agent to keep in touch but you never heard anything from them....... even AFTER you'd had a viewing from prospective buyers that you'd had to show round again because they the agent was unavailable or had double-booked themselves so you were then asked to basically do their job for them. The house sold for £60k less than they'd initially advised us to put it on the market for but the commission they received didn't reduce in price as they do it on a fixed fee basis at start rather then percentage of what you sell the property for. After we'd sold we heard from them once or twice about queries from our buyers but after exchange AND completion we never heard a word. No personal touch at all.
