We rented a property through this agent over a year ago. Initially staff we polite and brisk, all questions would be answered after we took the property. The fees were easily the highest we have ever paid at over £900! As soon as we took the property staff became impossible to contact, rude and lazy. The property was not furnished as viewed when we moved in, but we were told we had to keep the furniture we did not want or need, from here it went from bad to worse. Every repair has taken months of chasing to get resolved and several staff dealing with the property have failed to pass on messages, act on tasks or contact our landlord. On making a complaint we have been told they have no complaints policy!? Finally it has taken them nearly 2weeks and lots of chasing to pass our notice on to our landlord holding up us moving out.
They will only let properties to those who work. However, you are expected to drop your work commitments and spend all of your own time to chase up any issue. The best advice I can give to both tenants and landlords is avoid them at all costs! They are not worth the time or money!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Answer the phone at weekends. Do what they have said they would do. Call us back. Be polite. Be apologetic. Never promise to do something they have no intention of doing. Do not lie.
