Our horrific experience has sadly, only just begun. Our family home has been trashed, burgled and the tenants have done a moonlight flit with our final installments of the rent. I now have a lot of paperwork that we believe proves Saxons failed to check the property properly, did not record the many complaints made by our neighbours regarding the alleged anti-social behaviour of tenants and nor did they ever notify us that the property was even raided by the drugs squad a YEAR AGO.

I can\'t stress enough just how lack-luster the handling of our situation is at the moment. I would urge extreme caution in dealing with these agents. Obviously, Saxons are entitled to their right to reply on this - sadly, they\'re not replying to us at all at the moment!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could never change our minds about using them again. Impossible for them to rebuild the trust that has been damaged. We have no faith in them whatsoever.

We have spoken with the landlords and replied via e-mail with regards to this matter, However I have only just become aware of this review.
I would like to point the following points:
1. Saxons offered to instruct our debt collectors to chase the unpaid rent and offered if the landlord wished to assist them in court action against the tenants. It was explained that because the contract is between the tenants and landlord Saxons are unable to take the tenants to court.
2. We had made the landlords aware of the condition of the property and issues with damp etc. over a number of years with e-mailed inspection reports containing photographic evidence. The landlord had done his own drive by inspection in 2012 when visiting from Bangkok. After a number of inspections and contractors visiting the property, we found that a number of the problems were caused by a blocked mains drain and Saxons liaised with Wessex Water in order to remedy the situation. There have been a number of minor issues that have been resolved over the years whilst the tenants have been in situ and the landlord had a major overhaul of planned works to carry out on the property in the summer of 2013.
3. The notes on our file suggest we had a couple of complaints from the neighbours to do with some black bags in the back garden. The tenants explained they were having a clear out as they had been in the property for a number of years and on our inspection the following week they had been removed.
4. We have contacted the police with regards to the drug raid in 2012. They informed Saxons that they were contacted by one of our contractors whom when carrying out some works at the property thought it was suspicious that there were two padlocks on the loft hatch. The police have confirmed they raided the property without informing Saxons, however they did confirm that no drugs were found at the property.
5. The landlord has alleged that items have been taken from the loft, however we have spoken with the tenants who deny they have had access due to the padlocks on the loft. We cannot deny or confirm this as we have never had an inventory from the landlord with regards to the contents and the only set of keys to access the loft have been in Bangkok with the landlord for a number of years.
As per our advice literature and contract signed by the landlord, we advise not to leave personal items in the property, however if you do need to leave items in the property we advise that you have them adequately insured. We would be happy to check on your items when carrying out our periodic inspections.
