DO NOT move into a property which is managed by Saffron! We have just terminated our tenancy in a 2 bedroom flat in Mornington Crescent, London, which was managed by Saffron. Our bathroom was broken for 6 months and they did not manage to repair it until we moved out, although we reminded them several times. At the end of the tenancy, our deposit was deduced by £100 for a cleaning of a mattress which was in a really bad state when we moved in (the original inventory, however, noted that it was in a good condition - which was obiously a lie). We cannot do anything against this deduction now because the original inventory speaks against us. What is more, they charged us the check out fee (£84) because there is a clause (4.1.5) in their Tenancy Agreements according to which tenants must "Pay a reasonable fee for costs and disbursements in relation to the \'check out report\' at the end of the tenancy." We strongly advise you to avoid this company!
