Cityquays were instructed to let. On enquiring on why they have failed to let I was informed by one of the agents it was not worth his while as the commission he would get was too low. He quoted £20. However I was told that he and other agents did have viewings booked but implied he would be pushing other properties above mine. I raised a complaint only to receive an email saying that they had disinstructed themselves by letter in the past. They still have the keys so I have a great deal of evidence that disproves this. I checked their website and they are still marketing the property and clearly trying to get out of the agreement now I know what their letting agents practices are. On checking with the outgoing tenants who decided to take another property I am told they are instructing solicitors as they have problems with them they also told me that the agency was incompetent, rude and inapt e.g the burst in on my tenants without warning. I had not checked as I expected these people to do their job. I now have a void in renting. All prospective tenants and landlords beware. I have raised complaints with all the bodies they are a member of
What agent could do to change your mind?
I expect a full apology and for them to stick to the contract. Otherwise I am prepared to take legal action for my loss
