We first dealt with Nathan Horchuk who was always professional and thorough in all contact. We then attended a seminar delivered by Steve Cubitt and were very impressed with the service we were told we could expect and the principle of buying below market value property. Steve Cubitt then became our contact and the reality was completely different. It rapidly became clear that there was very little or no due diligence into potential opportunities and we had to abort our first acquisition when it was valued at £80k rather than the £125k that we were led to believe it was worth. We are still trying to complete our first acquisition but, having instructed our lawyers over 4 weeks ago, we are still awaiting legal documents. Steve Cubitt seems to be intent on hard-selling opportunities to us on the basis that \'here is a two page sheet, it\'s a good deal, send us our fees and then you get on with it\', whereas we had expected to be clients of Choices, with appropriate advice on the strengths and weaknesses of any proposed acquisition. He strongly tried to discourage me from commissioning a homebuyers report as \'a waste of money\'. Having paid a lot of money to be a client of Choices, we are continuing to work with them to get value from that investment. So far we have not had it.
