I feel that this agent operates by non transparency- hidden away in small print are things like a checking out fee. If you are tenant beware of hidden charges 130 pounds check out fee when things are in perfect order 250 pounds for each person to make checks etc ..... these hidden charges are not made explicity up front. there are far cheaper ways of renting property in Southampton
What agent could do to change your mind?
Published up front ALL fees and not say you wont have to pay VAT and then you end up having to pay

We are very sorry to hear you felt this way, we try our very best to make our costs and charges as transparent as possible which is why we provide all prospective tenants with our "Terms and Conditions of Renting" form (this information is also advertised on all of our advertising portals). We ask all tenants (or the lead tenant if we have not met all the tenants at that stage) to read through carefully and to sign to confirm that they have understood. Copies are taken for our files and also given to the tenant. All of the fees we charge are set out in that form and in fact the majority are in the first paragraph so not really 'hidden'. If there are any issues raised once a tenancy comes to an end we do our very best to over come these issues with both the tenant and the landlord in the hope that that they can be resolved to both parties satisfaction.
