Truly dreadful experience.
We put in a first offer on the house following two unsatisfactory viewings. Neither time did the agent follow up the viewing with even a courtesy call. They didn\'t even bother to inform us that our offer was refused. When we chased them they finally called back with little interest in what we had to say and merely defended their employees lack of attention. They promised to keep us informed as they were aware that we were a seriously interested buyer with funds in place and no chain.
Today I note the house is sold and have heard nothing from them. So they have failed us, the seller (who has not received the best price) and we are left to start again when we would have paid over the asking price.
Their behaviour is reprehensible and unprofessional. Don\'t use them if you have a choice is our opinion. They will never be asked to sell a house for us after this debacle.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The basics. Communicate. Attempt to get a good price for the seller. Be open and honest.
