We took on Roy Brooks to sell our house after letting it through them for several years. It is hard to praise them enough for the excellent service they provided, despite several challenging situations. They intitially provided us with a valuation that we felt was somewhat higher than we had expected, but on the basis that we were not in a particular rush to sell, and that we could lower the price or change agents if we didn\'t think it was working out, we took them on. In fact the hous was very quickly under offer - not for the asking price, but for more then £10,000 more than the other local agent had valued it. This all went well, but an issue with the survey led to the buyer pulling out - leaving us with an empty property. on THE DAY that the buyer pulled out Roy Brooks managed to secure a short term tenant for the property, which gave us time to address the survey issues while we still received an income. Once the remedial work had been done (by contractors recommended by Roy Brooks) the house was quickly under offer again - at the same price as the initial offer, and - despite some painful issues in the chain, through which the RB team helped to keep us calm(ish) the house sold for £8,000 more than the other local agent\'s valuation (which may well have been negotiated down further by a buyer). The fee charged was extremely reasonable and the staff were excellent. Estate agents get lots of bad press, but I have nothing but praise for Stacy and the Roy Brooks team. Highly recommended - and I\'m not the kind of person who usually goes onto these sorts of fora.
