Unfortunately, I have had to award this company one star. They are unprofessional Letting Agents but professional liars. We recently applied for a property to rent through this Newton and Fallowell. We travelled many miles to view the property having been assured of first refusal. When we arrived the Agent did not bring the necessary forms with him but assured us that "no-body else was viewing and " not to worry". There was no sense of urgency. This was on the Saturday on the Monday we called and sent email stating we wanted to apply for the property and could the necessary forms be sent. They where we sent by post and we sent them back the same day first class informing the Agent that we had done so. This would have been received by the Newton and Falowell on Friday. We heard nothing from Move with Us who would reference us. 6 weeks down the line we have just been told after numerous emails/calls to Newton and Fallowell with no response, that the property has gone and that they still carried out viewings and another applicants application had been processed on the Wednesday. It has taken all this time and us having to call Move with Us ourselves for answers - who where honest, polite and easy to get hold of despite the Newton and Fallowell telling us to the contrary. Newton and Fallowell have caused us severe problems as my husband has to move with work and I have a job offer. They are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with in many years of buying/selling and renting. Please avoid at all costs.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Tell the truth. Honesty. Keep potential clients informed. They should have informed us many weeks ago that our application was not the first. Should have brought the forms on the day of the viewing and should have told us that we needed to complete asap. They should have returned our phone calls and emails. They kept us dangling for six weeks which we have lost when we could have been sourcing other property. Agents like this get other Agents a bad name. I would like to be reimbursed for the 460 mile trip and phone calls that I have had to make. Worst Agent ever.
