On first moving into the property, the staff couldn\'t have been nicer or more friendly. Once in, the previous lettings manager left and chaos ensued. There were issues with the rent not being adequately recorded due to admin errors.
We\'d not been informed about the tenancy contract renewal fees and were astounded to receive a bill for £100.
When the landlord wanted to sell the property, the first we were aware that we were to move out was a utility company offering us a deal when we moved. The lettings manager said a notice to quit had been sent by post and hand delivered by landlady (who on a subsequent call stated she had never handposted said notice!) and expired in 2 days! (just before Christmas) Repairs were haphazard and not communicated through the office, bad service for landlords also we felt. Their manner was very aggressive and unfreindly towards us as tenants. We felt they were dishonest, unprofessional and not suitable for genuine tenants seeking secure tenancies. On the plus side we got full deposit back (aslthough it took 2 weeks to arrive by cheque)but the landlady took over this reposnsibility, so not directly the estate agent. Very dissatisfied tenants
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have been more communicative and friendly, rather than oipenly hostile and dismissive of our genuine situation
