I had the misfortune to rent a property from Peter Lane for 18 months. Never before have I come across a company with such a unique mixture of incompetence and lack of care. Their first response to any issues regarding the property is \'why don\'t you rent elsewhere?\' I\'ve had a 2 foot diameter stain in the front room (caused by a leaking bath that Peter Lane took 2 weeks to get a plumber for) for over a year and have contacted Peter Lane by email and Phone repeatably, and the myriad of excuses at least means that I could give them full marks for invention!
A Boiler not working, or no working Oven in the property (a legal requirement) is not considered a problem. It took nearly a month to get a replacement Oven (Peter Lane\'s comment - don\'t you have a Microwave?). The back door of the property is rotted away and Peter Lane can\'t be bothered to fix it, despite it now been unlockable.
I would strongly suggest that anybody who is considering renting from Peter Lane thinks again. You will never come across ruder, less interested and dishonest staff.
