Both Helen and Minnie were always very helpful, professional and polite in their dealings with my wife and I. They both acted pro-actively on our behalf throughout the sale and also with our onward purchase. It seemed that they both worked hard to sell our property when discussing it with prospective purchasers. It was clear that they were interested in our property and showed their enthusiasm to prospective buyers. They also both explained clearly what we should or could expect with the next stage in our sale and purchase.
I would recommend Preston Baker to my friends and colleagues if they were looking to choose an agent with which to sell their property, and if we were to sell our house again (which we have no plans or desire to do so ever again!) then we would seriously consider using Preston Baker again.
However, less than 50% of our viewings were attended by a member of staff from Preston Baker and once the sale was agreed they worked very much on behalf of the purchaser and not us in securing a satisfactory negotiation. We did not feel that Preston Baker acted on our behalf when negotiating the contents of the survey that the purchaser had carried out and as such we were forced to negotiate the price on issues which were almost entirely cosmetic and seen by the purchaser at the time of viewing. Whilst we recognise that Estate Agents have the successful completion of a sale as their main goal it was we who were the main customers and we whose behalf they should have been working on as it was our decision to choose them as agents that meant they would get paid.
As stated before though, we would recommend Preston Baker to friends and colleagues and have already done so in the 8 months since we first came into contact with them.
