The members of staff of this estate agent, in general, are not only unhelpful but have very poor attitude and can have very poor talking manners.
On day one, we were given an a viewing appointment at 5:30 PM, but we checked rightmove at 5:15, we found out the property had disappeared from the listings. After phoning them, they told us the property is now under referencing and so they had no plans to tell us before our appointment time. They did not even apologise.
Next day, the same property appeared again on rightmove, we phoned them and explained what happened the day before. So, they cut me off during my talking and said "come today at 1:15" again without expressing any apology for their yesterday\'s unprofessional conduct. I asked if we can go there at 1:30 during the my lunch break and the guy , with frustration, replied "1:15...do you want it or not?". We attended the property at 1:15 and their member of staff (Tom) arrived about 4 minutes late.
After we viewed the property and decided to rent it, understandably there was another family, straight after us who decided to rent it too. The agency, quite unusually, asked us to fill in the referencing forms, to enable them decide between us or the other family. As far as I know, you pay the deposit to secure the property and then fill in the referencing forms.
I phoned them and very politely tried to explain that would prefer getting a decision today, as my current landlord requests sufficient notice for her to let us leave the property at the end of April, but the guy did not listen and, as usual cut me off, and said "Tom will do everything he said he will do, if you have a problem you can withdraw".
I just replied "yes I withdraw...you have a poor attitude...bye" and hanged up on him.
I am completely appalled by the customer service and attitude of this agency. I feel very angry that I lost that property because of them.
Unfortunately they are the boss of themselves and don\'t have any head office that I could complain to.
