Living in Brighton renting places since 2007 and these guys were the worst. They took a majority of our deposit and treated us appallingly. Two main incidents spring to mind. Firstly our door did not lock when you shut it, it had to be manually shut from the inside when you came in and manually locked when you left. This of course is a major fie hazard and completely illegal. If a fire had started inside the house and there was no time to find the key and manually unlock the door/or say someone had been locked in then there would of been major trouble. Their response when asking to change the lock when we handed our deposits over was shocking. The man humiliated both me and my partner in the office as he went over to the door and gave us a simple walk through or how to shut and open a door...this was so rude and inappropriate and our request was ignored the rest of the duration. SECONDLY, when it came to getting our deposits; well this went on for 6 months. At one point I called up every day to talk to Sarah, she had even conveniently popped off somewhere or wasn\'t in, sometimes she was on holidays, the next day she was there, it was all complete lies..seeing as we lived near the office and could see her......The most money grabbing, rude estate agents in Brighton. Not interested in tenants; just money. HOWEVER, I used Charters after and they were amazing, not one complaint!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Changed everything.
