We were forced to call the agency repeatedly to enquire about whether international students would need guarantors residing in the UK, each time they told us they would get back to us in within a couple of hours. This never happened. After the 5th phone call and repeatedly putting us on hold as they tried to figure out how to do their jobs properly, we were told there would be no problem with having guarantors outside of the UK. Due to this inability to let us know what was going on, our forms were delayed by one week, meaning we were unable to fulfill there policy of \'first come first serve\'. It seems they are the only letting agency that requires you fill out guarantor forms before you can pay a deposit or \'call dibs\' on the property. On top of this annoyance, no one notified us that the property was no longer available, we had to ring them up after waiting about a week for a reply, only to be told that it had been sold. Overall, shoddy performance, will definitely not be using them again. A \'terrible\' rating is an understatement.
What agent could do to change your mind?
See above. Primarily, they could have called us back when they said they would, and let us know when the property had been taken. We had to mail the forms to the agency, with no way of knowing whether they would reach the intended party. The landlord who showed us around the property could have been much more helpful with giving her address/details so we could have gotten our forms to her sooner.
