Decided to go through Foxtons to sell our 1 bedroom flat. Tim came round and valued it at a high price and made lots of promises. Had view viewings through them. Thought it was a bit odd, as Foxtons tend to crow about their general footfall etc... Turns out that Tim (sales chap) was selling his, nearly identical, flat on the next road. He failed to mention this to me.
Eventually sold the flat at well below what it was originally "valued" at. I knew Foxtons had, and still have, a chequered reputation, I should have gone with another agent.
I have moved out of London now so don\'t have to deal with them. But as a rule, I will never use them or recommend them again.
