Absolutely the worst lettings agency I have ever used in my life.

I rented a flat but through these guys but after a couple months the washing machine stopped working and I requested it to be fixed/replaced. Had to call many times over many weeks only to be finally told neither they (managing the property) or the landlord (flat owner) were prepared to do anything. This is despite it being said so in the contract that they are responsible for these sorts of things. Was very unhappy. The flat came with a washing machine, and then I didn\'t have one any more. Never responded to anything else I contacted them about.

After I gave my notice to end the tenancy I told them to contact me in advance for any viewings, and they are not to do any whilst I am not present. Then after a week they made a viewing for my flat without notifying me and when I wasn\'t in, but my girlfriend was staying at mine while she was poorly. She thought someone was breaking in and was very scared, obviously, with people shouting through the door to let them in over a period of time. I was very angry with them about this, and then they had the gall to blame me for wasting a viewing saying that they had texted me to let me know of the viewing taking place. When in reality they didn\'t text, email, or call me about this viewing, or received confirmation from me that I was OK with this viewing. The word "idiots" don\'t even begin to describe them.

When I moved out after 6 months, everything went OK at first, showed them proof of bills paid, checkout all OK, etc. Then they didn\'t refund my deposit after a couple weeks. More calls, voicemails, emails, etc. Same thing every week. They say they will sort it out then don\'t actually do anything.

Weeks turn into months. Finally I can\'t stand it any more and demand they refund me in person. Then when they try and process my deposit, they say they have to deduct a £90 cleaning charge off me because apparently i left the flat in a bad state! When I left it cleaner than when I had moved in! No mention of this during the check out or anything in the months waiting for my deposit to be returned. So not only were they taking the Mickey not giving me my deposit back, but also trying to swindle me for a cleaning fee outside of any contract. I didn\'t stand for it, and after much arguing they finally gave in about this charge. Then they said they would have done an online transaction that afternoon for the money, they didn\'t actually process it because it was cancelled. So my deposit was sent 3 days later when they finally put the transaction through. I am 100% sure if I wasn\'t as firm as I was I would still be waiting for my deposit even now, and £90 poorer.

I don\'t understand how a lettings agency can be this incompetent and so awful from start to finish. I wish I had read reviews from this website before renting. It seems my terrible experience is not a one-off case. Avoid at all cost.
