I approached Ellie and Co. Wembley office for renting a property nearby Preston road.
When I moved in the house, I found the house was not at all in a great shape
1. There were nails and allen keys lying on the floor
2. The carpet was not cleaned
3. The hinges of the cupboards were loose and I had to remove the doors of the cupboards to prevent an accident
4. The Drawers were not cleaned
5. Boiler was not working
6. Microwave was missing
7. Fridge was not working
I expected Ellis and Co. to do these checks before I moved in. I had to take 2 days of leave to clear off this mess and was very disappointed with their service. When I informed the staff of Ellis and Co., they were not ready to accept their mistake. It was projected as if I had done something wrong!!
The worst came when I decided to move out after 6 months due to my commitments. I was told to professionally clean the house before I left. I told them it was not professionally cleaned before I moved in. But the Ellis and Co. staff was adamant and not ready to listen at all. A deduction of 100 pounds was made and deposit was returned to me after one month! The house was in a much better shape than when I moved in. I made sure everything was in absolutely clean before I left. Unnecessarily, 100 pounds was deducted from my deposit and it was not at all fair. It was informed to the landlord that the house was in a terrible shape. I was surprised by his comment when I talked to the landlord. Some of the staff at Ellis and Co. are extremely rude. I do not want to take names here since it would affect the career of that person.
I had an impression that Ellis and Co. staff communicates wrong information to the landlord just for the sake of deducting some amount from the deposit.
Overall extremely unsatisfactory and unprofessional service.
