Please, please give this company a wide berth. They are indescribably awful, some of our charges have been made up, the work said to be done has not been done even though they say it has, the evidence is to the contrary. The service charges have risen by an incredible 300+% in just under 3 years. Asked why their management fees had doubled this year , 2013, the reply (which as usual and just like all enquiries made to them took nearly 2 months to arrive) was that it was merely yo put them in line with other areas and due to persons making enquiries to their fees, you couldn\'t make an excuse like that up could you!! Our only neighbour in a block of just 2 flats couldn\'t stand Belgarum\'s attitude any longer and sold up and moved out last year to be out of their clutches.

Totally agree with review. Like to headbutt when asked why the Service Charge is so high. Staff are very rude and quote "most tenants can't read". I can read my lease document. If you are vulnerable they will steamroll. Their contractor verbally insulted my Care Team and myself because I am severely disabled. I blame the London Borough of Hillingdon as they are too lazy to manage these thugs. By the way this person has a degree and a job!

There is always two sides to a story and in this case many responses had been provided explaining the reasons why increases were required as existing contributions were too low to run the block correctly. Any increase of charges to a low start figure would result in high percentages quoted. Belgarum go to great lengths to explain the processes of budgeting, it is nit an exact science and it is unfortunate when individuals do not understand the processes in place nor that the money remains in a dedicated client account for the use on the block, not in a 'Belgarum' account and if not spent then refunded in the following year is appropriate. All Leaseholders should make themselves fully aware of the items on a development to which they are legally obliged to contribute to and how those costs will be calculated going forward.
