If you want to save yourselves a lot of stress and money then read on.
As a prospective tenant I was thoroughly apalled at the high pressure tactics this firm uses, as in my case from the moment you find a suitable property they insist that you must immediately pay a reservation fee, and then fee after fee after fee!
You then have up to 3 days to complete all the documentation, they send you by e-mail a 30 yes 30 page tennancy agreement and information pack for you to print off. They say you have to post the filled in forms so taking into account the post time you can see that you only have about 24-36 hours to get everything in place including your finances.
If you don\'t get that to them by the 3 day slot then yes you guessed it another fee is payable in order to proceed.
They do not give you time to think. What they do is blinker you and keep saying if you don\'t pay from the moment you decide on the property then someone else will have it. They try to frighten you into commiting a rushed decision.
The information pack they give you is very cleverly worded and is one big marketing ploy even to the reason they give you to sign the inventory form before you move in!
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE WORDING THEY USE!
Luckily I didn\'t proceed with Gatekeeper and when talking to the salesman explaining to him my concerns about the speed they insist on doing everything he abruptly told me that we had better part ways as they do not flex their terms and certainly will not be dictated to by a customer.
AVOID these people is my advice there are plenty of other letting agents out ther who will listen to the customer and not charge you fees at every step of the way!
