I made the mistake of buying my first home through Pattinsons and cannot describe how awful they were. Both myself and the vendor were horrified at their lack of professionalism, the staff were rude and appeared to have no knowledge of what they were doing. As a cash buyer, we had hoped to be in a relatively strong position but were treated very badly throughout the whole process, as were the vendors.
They frequently provided us with incorrect information, tried to charge us for additional fees (which when argued, were suddenly \'dropped as a goodwill gesture\' ), failed to meet any of the deadlines they themselves had set and instead of allocating one person to the purchase, forced us to deal with a different person almost every time we spoke to them....which was almost daily due to the amount of errors they made. Our purchase took weeks longer than agreed simply because they had set deadlines they were (for unknown reasons) unable to meet. Obviously, this cost us money as well as time and caused a lot of stress for all concerned.
Both myself and the vendor wasted a significant amount of time and effort chasing them up for various things and became extremely frustrated in the process. Unfortunately, my vendor was tied into using them and we fell in love with the house, if this had not been the case, we would definitely have gone elsewhere.
Everyone involved in the sale agreed that Pattinsons were awful and made an already stressful process much harder and more difficult. I would never use this company again and would highly recommend that you don\'t either. Whether you are buying, selling or even renting, please don\'t be misled by their claims, they are not interested in putting their customer first and we have since discovered, they have a terrible reputation. Please do yourselves a favour and avoid them at all costs, how they are allowed to perform so badly is a mystery but I guarantee you will do better by avoiding them.

Too many things to list, please see the above review. The agent were awful from start to finish and had no interest in making the process as simple as it could be. Misinformation, rudeness and a lack of concern for their customers was apparent throughout.
