We were told that the premises we wanted to rent would be available from the second to last week of Jan this year, after being upfront told the house was being sold via Chancellors to the landlady and this was expected to clear that week.
After a week had passed and we\'d been pressed to get our references and fees (£650) paid up under the guise of accelerating the rental of the house we were told that it would not be available for another week due to a small delay in the sale. This is now nearly a month of "delays" with differing claims from either person spoken to that this could be days to further weeks before we can move in.
We have clearly been shown a misrepresented house and no offer to refund any of the fees we\'ve paid have been made, instead we find ourselves homeless having to stay under the kindness of friends and family.
Do not touch Chancellors with a barge pole, instead and it pains me to say this, choose Romans over them, they at the very least are eager to get your money and get things done.
What agent could do to change your mind?
No, the agent in question is a habitual liar offering his \"opinion\" over fact and forcing four people onto the street without any attempt to find them shelter or offer to re compensate them for this.
