My daughter provided a large payment to cover sale of herhouse and solicitor fees. Whilst the house was for sale they constantly had to chase them to get viewings and felt as if the staff were not interested. Unfortunately due to personal circumstances they could not proceed to sell and requested money back which was not used for the legal side of the sale. Despite only a few adverts and little help from the sales team they refused any refund. I would definately not recomend use of this agent.

The lady in question agreed to use our services, we offered two types of package, because the market wasn't very good at this time, we offered our normal fee, which the lady would have had to pay our fees , solicitors fees buying and selling , and EPC charges, or we offered a greatly reduced fee (To assist people to get on the market), which included all the of the services mentioned , this enabling her to budget the move more easily, and also saving hundreds of pounds on normal fees. we did ask that clients paid 50% up front, and it was discussed and pointed out at the time that the upfront payment was non refundable and the client agreed to this upon seeing the savings that were being made, a contract was signed where it also disclosed that the fee was non refundable.
we are sorry that their circumstances changed, and they were told that if they decided to sell in the future then the same contract would be used, and they would not have to pay anything, and still get the benefit of the package.

Hannells are Derbys top selling agent and pride them self's on the service given, we were even voted the UK's second best small chain for customer service, and whilst this clients house was on the market, we did not have one complaint about the service offered, until they asked for the deposit back.
