where do I start? ive been renting from cryers for nearly 2 years in 2 different properties. My first house shared with 2 other students was ok, although there were cracks along the walls, moldy carpets and a dodgy front door and a derelict houe next door but this is what we expected hearing plenty of student property horror stories. The only time we needed Cryers was to fix our faulty shower and within 2 days a man came and fixed it. Although 2 days later another man arrived and said he was here to fix it although it had already been done?

When we first moved in we were told the glass greenhouse was going to be nocked down and a new fence would be put up at the end of the garden as ours was falling fown, that never happened and as a result my house mates bike was stolen from the garden. We were also told a maintenance man would be round every couple of months to cut the grass and keep the garden tidy... that never happened.

Were half way through the tenancy agreement on our 2nd flat (which is 1000x nicer!) however our drainage has been broken for about a month and despite calling cryers numerous times and popping in to ask about someone to fix it, no one has came. We\'ve been told 3 times someone will be over!

I believe its all down to cryers awful communication, they dont talk to each other! If you go in there and ask for something to be checked out or fixed they say sure well sort it out and unless they can be bothered to pick up the phone or move from their desk you can be assured that nothing will be done which is the majority of the time.

Funny how they will constantly ring you about late rent and charge you late fees which they dont tell you about. They sometimes even charge you twice for one months rent cause they didnt realise the money had already been taken.

Moral of the story, do not waste your time renting with cryers... there are plenty of other student letting agencies!
What agent could do to change your mind?
staff need to communicate better care more about the welfare and safety of tenants and less about making money!
