In fact the initial conversation started by me trying to assess their ability to pay the rent so ask how many people were it for being a 3 bed house for rent at £1950 pcm and she replied a couple with 4 kids . 2 x 3.1/2 years old and 1 at 9 years and 1 baby of 9 months.
I asked what she did for work and she said a self employed beautician and her husband self employed as a driver for Amazon. I said I would need proof of income should they want to rent the house and then she said they used the same accountant. I said I would need to contact the accountant who must be in the UK and the accountant must be able to confirm they have been trading for at least 2 years and that their income be confirmed to qualify. She then went mad telling me I am asking intrusive questions and that she change her mind and did not want it. I said I must know if they can afford to pay the rent and expenses and she then hung up.
