I first heard about these agents through the home finders scheme as they deal with the client base who are on benefits. They give you all the talk how if there are any problems please contact us it takes them up to two weeks or more to do repairs or resolve problems. But please let me explain the realistic approach to recieving your deposit back. Very little reality, they will always stray away from the idea of the deposit being given back. So if you are having problems with deposits being given back there is a loophole as they say they prefer their rent payments directly paid to them. Which I have now found out is a complete and utter lie. So what you can do is after they refuse to give it back what you can do is tell housing benefit you wish to have the rent paid to yourself as the landlord is not following out repairs or you are having difficulty with the landlord with unreasonable issues and withold the rent as they will pay upto 6 weeks before the landlord can ask the payments be paid to them again for arrears. I did this and now have my deposit back. These agents break every tenant rule when it comes to people on benefits. So frankly if you are not sure of your rights or if you do not want these people to completely rape the ass out of your deposit , PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY to rent properties from !
