The broker confirmed the rent with us. Last Friday, he asked us to transfer one weeks rent to his account so that he can take the property off the market. We transfered the money the same day. On Monday, he emails us saying that the landlord doesn\'t want to rent out the property anymore as his daughter is moving into the apartment.

The fact that he agreed everything with us, accepted payment from us and after that refusing us the deal is very disappointing and frustrating for us.

This behavior is very unprofessional on the part of the broker.

To confirm the landlord decided to take back the flat at no fault of the agency. We called you in the morning and immediately refunded your holding fee. We also offered to help you find another apartment for you but you were more interested in telling me that you were going to write negative comments about our agency. We did explain that unless the agreement was signed the owner of the property is able to change his mind. Throughout the process Icon acted in the correct and proper manner. We wish you all the best in finding another apartment.
