This is an extract from an email sent to them, after I\'d received confirmation that insurance commisiions taken by Kingsborough had been as high at 33% - though they are now \'only\' 16%.

Separately I now have three alternative quotes for XXX XXXXXXX, received last months against the £2846.43 paid to Zurich in 2011/2012. I assume we are paying more for 2012/2013 but here are the current competitive quotes: £1991.21, £2124.95 and £2256.88. Each has received exactly what either you or Ms Runciman sent me so assuming they all read what is in the documents, and they do appear to have done, and acted responsibly in quoting, it is clear that we are without question overpaying right now. I think you ought to be asking for money back because the route used by OM, under Peverel direction was manifestly against the interests of the leaseholders who have not been offered, or given a free and open market price due to the way that they, Kingsborough Insurance and Oval Insurance Broking have worked with Zurich and others.

Can you show me the other quotations, apart from Zurich, that were received before OM awarded the business to Zurich via Kingsborough Insurance and Oval Insurance Broking? It's also clear that we may not be using Zurich next July unless they are market competitive, At least that way we will easily opt for the lowest price as every aspect will be the same and we may save around £800. Response so far is to imply I have compared apples with pears.They really show no interest in the people who pay their exhorbitant market uncompetitive charges - cushy number for them.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Be 100% transparent, ONLY work with the Residents Group, use local contractors, or at least ask them to bid and don\'t impose restrictive terms in Tenders to exclude them and believe Residents ought to get better deals.
