I can't stress enough, how disappointing and stressful our experience has been with Outlook property. I've rented properties using a number of different estate agents in the past and none of them comes close to Outlook. We moved in to our 2 bedroom flat and the issues started immediately. We had no inventory done on the property prior to moving in, we wasn't even given a welcome pack or instructions on what keys are for which doors so it started off with a guessing game and we were never given a key for our postbox which meant the whole time we lived there, we had to knock on our neighbours to ask them to unlock it for us. I made them aware of these issues from day 1 and nothing was done. The property was left dirty (dust everywhere and food crumbs in the oven) and this was during the 1st of the pandemic lockdown's (April2020). All the lights had been removed from the walls in the communal stairwell which meant we had to use a torch on our phone to get up and down the stairs and the smoke alarm was covered up!! (This was so dangerous, especially the fact that it had started to get dark, I was 5 months pregnant at the time and this was the only way to exit the building). We notified Outlook of the issue, it took them 3 months to come and fit bulbs and longer to remove the cover from the smoke alarm. We couldn't even fit bulbs ourselves temporarily or remove the cover as the ceilings are 12ft high. Then our washing machine broke, it couldn't be fixed and it took them a month to get a new one for us (they even suggested I take our clothes to a launderette, again pregnant and during a pandemic). Our list goes on... We eventually decided we couldn't stay in the property with such little support from the property management so gave notice to leave. It's now been a month since we left and they still have some of our deposit. They ended up charging us for a professional cleaner when we didn't receive this on arrival. I would highly recommend using other estate agents! Even if you see a property you like under Outlook property, I promise you now, it's not worth it. The amount we had to pay to leave early and all the stress that came with it meant we ended up hating the flat. It's a shame you can't select 0 stars because personally, I don't understand how they're still running as a business. Good Luck to anyone renting properties with outlook and I really hope you don't receive the same treatment we had.
