The admin line is never answered, calls are not returned, and maintenance requests are roundly ignored. They do not follow the law or are uncooperative when trying to get things in writing (and signed). Made us put down a second security deposit during lease renewal with only 1 week notice, on top of normal rent payments. 100% illegal.

We are responsible tenants that are good to and love our flat. In my 15+ years of renting I have never worked with such a terrible agency or landlord. Maybe I have been lucky. Or, maybe, Harringtons is that bad.

Dear ‘Good Tenant’,

Thank you for your comment. We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with our service.
Unfortunately it can occasionally happen that our admin line does not get answered straight away due to the volume of calls. However, we always try to do our best to return messages as soon as possible.
In regards to the comment about asking you to put down a second security deposit, the situation when we possibly may ask for this to be done is when a swap over of tenants would be taken please. In this case part of the deposit of the tenant who is leaving the tenancy would be released and replaced by the new deposit of the new tenant moving into the property. Another situation would be the case when there has been a rent increase and we have been specifically asked by the landlord to top up the deposit as our deposits are always in the amount of one month rents. However, we cannot recall any case like this and any further clarification would be highly appreciated.

If you would like to contact the office directly on 01273 749 169 and speak to Kim, she will be more then happy to discuss any issues you may have
