Ludlow Thompson are the worst letting agents I have ever had to deal with.
As a tenant, I beg landlords NOT to use them to manage your property! I fail to see how they can justify the money they charge for \'management\' - there is a total lack of it.
This year there have been multiple examples of their incompetency including: failing to respond to serious repairs, mistakes on contracts, failing to pass on details of maintenance issues to contractors, leaving the property insecure, not making effort to contact the landlord, etc. Simple tasks such as sending a plumber can take over 3 weeks for them to arrange.
The biggest frustration is that getting hold of them is impossible, the property manager changes almost weekly and tenants are never informed. Emails are unanswered and when ringing the office, the property manager is always "in a meeting". Calls are never returned.
Escalating to customer services as per their complaints procedure achieves little but does seem to get their attention. It seems more effective than speaking to the branch manager!
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could learn basic customer service, i.e responding to phone calls and emails!
