We moved out of an Omega property around 3 months ago and I can only bring myself to write a review now as this organisation makes my blood boil. Omega is a horrible, dishonest, money hungry organisation that should be avoided at all costs. We lived in one of their properties for 7 months and it was very unpleasant experience. The following series of events highlights the type of organisation Omega is.
Month 1: when we moved in the property was dirty and the bathroom was covered in mold. The property had been poorly maintained, it was rented as furnished but the couch was broken, lounge light switch was broken and if you wanted anything fixed you have to deal with the rude office staff or if you are lucky the rude maintenance guy may pick up your call. The flat was also security risk ¢â‚¬â€œ bedroom and kitchen windows had no locks and we had to waste our time (4 hours) on a Saturday waiting for someone to come and repair the locks. We received no apology just had to deal with a rude repairmen as he wasn't happy that he had to be called out on a Saturday
Month 2: we received a phone call from their rude office lady (Elaine) asking if we needed wires etc at back of house for TV reception. We said yes and please do not remove. But she told the freeholder to remove the wires anyway which resulted in us having no TV reception. We spoke to Elaine re this and she completely denied the conversation and was very rude and was happy to constantly send rude emails to me while I was at work. Elaine's customer service is appalling and I'd like to see her try and get a job outside of Omega.
Month 5: we went away on holiday and came back and could not get into our flat. It transpired that someone (Omega) had been in our property whilst we were away and effectively locked us out. They had locked the second lock on our door which we had never been issued keys for. We had to wait to 5 hours for their maintenance person to come and he had no keys so he had to kick down our door. We finally got into our flat at 11pm after getting home at 4pm. We could not shut our door that night because it had been so badly damaged. We spoke to Omega and asked why someone had been in the property while we were away and their response was unbelievable. They said that we had lost our keys and we had made up this storey to cover up losing our keys. Interestingly other tenants have reported similar situations in their reviews.
Luckily we only had a six month contract so we have moved out of their awful flat and never have to deal with Omega again.
Please beware of this organisation and Rochester Place (who introduced us to these awful people) as we would not want anyone to go through what we went through. Organisations like Omega should not be allowed to rent properties, they are dishonest, rude and their behaviour is bordering on illegal.
