Agent did not attend to repairs, ignored emails, ignored complaints. Did not allow termination of lease at the end of the contracted date. Flat was very dirty when let out, cleaned to a high standard when leaving. Was left in a better standard than was offered. Had to endure a broken boiler, rusted shut windows, no working fire alarm, broken fridge, ventilation and damp problems. Ignored a written complaint until it was pointed out to them that it was special delivery and their signature could be seen online. There was no way of getting full deposit back. 5 weeks after moving out have not recieved a penny. Cited a dirty microwave and toaster which was not used by tenant, put away in cupboard and returned to original position in original state when leaving.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Acknowledged problems, attempted to fix them, left the flat in a reasonable state (it was disgusting) and not expect it to be in a better state when keys handed back (although it was by far). Not be so blatant in cheating the tenant out of the deposit and by sticking to the terms of the lease agreement.
