Avoid letting a property from Andrews - over a years contract we (2 key workers at JR hospital and 2 postgraduate students) had multiple issues with them. This was predominately because they were always difficult to get hold of, they did not communicate between departments and there was little to no follow through when issues were reported. For example, we originally were three people signing for a four bed house, with the arrangement that we could find a fourth tenant ourselves and put them on the tenancy agreement for no further rent. Once we found a suitable tenant, Andrews were so slow in making the correct contract and tried to charge us extra rent (£200pm), despite written proof that this would not go up. Moreover, they were always reluctant to replace inventory, requiring us to live with broken/inadequate utilities and furniture (my housemate had to buy her own bed two weeks after reporting it as it had not been sorted).
Additionally, their accounts team is highly disorganised. We received multiple emails throughout the year saying we hadn't been paying the correct amount of rent or there was a certain amount missing (a random amount too, not even one persons rent worth). Each time this happened we all sent bank statements and standing order details to prove we were in the right but the next month the same thing would happen again. Furthermore, the return of our deposit has been delayed (we moved out over a month ago) due to this issue of 'missing money' which was proven to not be our fault.
The whole experience we have had with the Andrews Headington branch has been disappointing, unprofessional and extremely frustrating. We would not recommend at all.

Andrews behaviour was both disingenuous and unprofessional. Did not explain any of the above to me as a Client. All I got was someone calling to tell me I must sign a form from Andrews saying that I know that the tenant had only six months left on their visa.. No explanations, no choice of would I like to sign for a different, shorter period. No option of that because that might result in less commission for Andrews? Instead dump the issue on the Landlord if the visa is not renewed. Arrogant, di ...

Comment on agent fees
Ended up being very good value for money, at the start I thought the fee was a little high as was more than other agents but glad I went with them and was good to know they are owned by charitable trusts.
