My partner has had an awful experience renting through Goadsby. Very quick to sign you up and secure your money but then it's all downhill from there. If you're looking for customer service, prompt communication or reasonable treatment then find another estate agent. A culture ...

To be fair you signed a 12 month agreement, with a two month notice clause meaning that if you want to leave the property at the end of your contract you need to give 2 moths notice, it doesn't mean that you can leave the contract early! The initial term (12 months in your case) is the MINIMUM term so they were perfectly within their rights to refuse to allow you to leave the tenancy early and/or without costs. Suggest you understand what you are signing before you slate the agent!! ...
