Typical old fashioned slumlord attitude from the female members of this practice (the men appear better educated and seem to understand the concept of customer service).
You would have thought that paying almost 2 grand a month I might be treated with a modicum of respect but unfortunately not. Very one sided - they took almost 2 months to fix simple electrical issues without a hint of an apology, yet when I took a week to tell them about a slightly leaky toilet was told in a very patronising way that I must tell them immediately whenever there is a problem. Wouldn\'t budge on any terms of the contract, had to tell them more than once that I was pulling out before they would consider asking the landlord if he would accept a change (which was no problem at all for him once they bothered to pick up the phone). Very pushy when they want something but won\'t lift a finger when you need something.
Regular inspections - the default position is that they will turn up any time with keys and let themselves in, you have to push them to respect the fact that they want to enter your home and should knock before being let in. When they came round woman complained about the garden after both myself and the landlord had gardeners in on 3 separate occasions only a week before. Complained about a small shoe dirt mark on the carpet, as if the whole house needs to be immaculate at all times. Demanded our gentle little dog was locked up while she was there and questioned his right to be there, no idea whose home they are in or on any arrangement that may be in place. As I have said, very poor attitude and no respect despite being in someone else\'s home.
Overall they seem to expect all tenants are scum and treat them accordingly. They do not realise that we are the ones that are paying their wages.
