From the moment i went to collect the keys to end of tenancy. An absolute discraceful company. Started tenancy 1st of the month took them 2 weeks to give me there report/inventory and then wanted the next months rent 24/25th before the 1st month is over . I changed jobs and got paid last friday of the month so wanted to make up and amend for direct debit to be paid 1st of every month (due to dates vary) month to month. They simply said NO apparently takes 5 days to pass through the system. There on the ball when you owe them money, but when it comes to reporting any repairs forget it despite going through the correct channels ie fixflo. They leave you hanging and don't respond unless you constantly chase them! After 5 years renting the same
place and not being in arrears. Inspections they were really happy with., there reference to forwarding prospective landlords was damming. Yes i was a little late with rent on isolated months due to cash flow. But paid all the same. And now faced with serious problems. The final stage was wrenching my deposit from them. Several left messages to Chelsey and emails concerning this i was completely ignored, it turned out after chasing again the following week she had gone on holiday. Hmmm seems to me she wasnt interested as was building up to the holiday. Yes ppl out there for just under £3,000 commission they really are an incompetent outfit. And rest assured will never want to deal with them ever again! After a bad reference paying £28,500 in rent and an awful service leaving the place cleaner and in better condition than when i moved in. They really take the ........!

The reference we gave to this tenant was accurate, they consistently failed to pay the rent in full and on time which the landlord was not happy with, our job is to get the rent from the tenant on time and we make no apologies for chasing tenants to achieve this when they fail to pay as per the contract.
We charged the landlord the commission not the tenant, so it is not relevant to the tenant, the landlord was very happy with our service over the 6 years we managed her property. The tenant may have paid £28,500 in rent but this was over a 5 year period. It is somewhat surprising that this tenant chose to live at the property for so long if our service was as bad as he makes out.
We dealt with all maintenance issues as they were reported, being a flat we do have to deal with block management companies too and this can mean that some issues take longer to resolve than if it was a house. We even had to deal with the tenant being away and alarms going off in the property on more than one occasion.
There is no benefit to us in retaining a tenants deposit, it just causes more work for us. We always ask the landlord to confirm agreement in writing before we release it, if that is delayed it is not down to us.
When asked if we would let to this tenant again by another letting agent we said 'No' and having read this 'review' we are confident that our initial response was indeed correct.
