Worst experience ever!
Property posted on their website 17/7. On Sunday, I email to request a virtual viewing. On Monday morning 20/7, I phone their office. They do not have a video so I request a showing and they cannot schedule one until Thursday 23/7 at the earliest. The woman on the phone (answered without giving her name) says that they will email a confirmation with the appointment details which I presume to be the address, agent's name, contact info... but by the end of the day, I have not received one. I email to ensure that they had the correct email address and try to move the showing to an earlier day. My emails to confirm the appointment go unanswered. No answer phoning them and no reply to voice messages. I just wanted to be able to speak to an agent at this point. On 22/7, property posted on Rightmove and other listing sites. Still no answer at their office. Email again and request an application to let the property as I had decided to go ahead. Finally, I get a computer-generated confirmation for the showing but no response to my email requesting an application. Then after all this frustration, no one turns up for the showing on 23/7. As this is being done remotely, my relative that was going in my stead arrived ten minutes early. She was there for 30 minutes before finally leaving. They later phoned her to apologise and reschedule for the next day. They also finally emailed me to say that the property had had so much interest that the landlord was going to wait until the end of the week and review all of the applications hence, not first come first serve. The next day, no one is outside of the property waiting. Ring bell repeatedly. Walk around the building and no one is seen. Wait only 10 minutes this time before leaving. They later phone to say they were in the communal hall. How one is to know that when the showing confirmation is a computer-generated form that only has a time, date and address is beyond me. Of course, she was not going to go back again and I don't blame her. I never heard from them. I had made it clear in my emails that I wanted to let the property even just based on the photos on their website. I really did like the location, layout... However, in the end, I gave up. Besides, if no one can answer the phone for the letting division, is the property management division going to answer theirs when there is an issue? Probably not. Too bad, I loved the flat!
