If I could have zero stars I would.
We put the house on the market with Brain Holt based on their reputation. But how wrong were we, the whole process from start to finish has been despicable and breach of every code of conduct that they follow?
Initially, we were forced into applying for a mortgage despite our house not being sold which cost us money.
We then saw a house which was listed by Brian Holt, put in an offer which was excepted and had all the searches done.
After sending numerous emails and phone calls from April we finally got in touch with someone in July to be told that the property had been sold to another buyer at a much lower price then what we had offered.
When asked how that has happened we were told that all the old staff prior to COVID had left and they had no record, which we found odd.
Arrangements had been made for someone to see our property, but no one from Brian Holt turned up to show them around. One couple did manged to see the house and they have just knocked on our door telling us that they wanted to put an offer in but they couldn't get in touch with anyone at Brian Holt. This was the couple who Brian Holt told us that they were not willing to put in an offer at the asking price. We have now taken our house off the market. The staff that they say no longer worked there are still at Brian Holt, in particular, the person who showed us around the house that we put in an offer for.
The staff are completely incompetent at their jobs, have no communication skills and should be ashamed at how they treated us. We lost a house that we liked and now feel we could have sold our house and wonder if people did come around to view our property only to find no one here to show them around.
I would never trust Brian Holt again, they have caused us so much stress and anxiety and they should be ashamed at calling themselves, estate agents.
