Initially when engaging with the sales lady from Express, she was endearing and charming, very positive about Express' track record of sales in our area. She signed us up in agreement to the Ts and Cs and we knew it would be a good experience. We were wrong however beyond this point though. The two or three different property experts we had throughout the sales period were inexperienced, quite naive about sales in our area, the effect of the down turn in our main industry etc and were always pushing to lower the price. Very few leads were positive and NOT one put in a noted interest with the exception one who "nearly purchased" the property. We found ourselves marketing the home more than Express did. We had NO local contact to speak with Face to Face and contacting or agent's was tedious. Once we finally accepted an offer, the Sales Progressor was more communicative but it was not until that stage that this happened. It seems that if you "pay peanuts you end up with Monkeys" though which has left a bitter taste in our mouths about using Express or recommending them to friends and family. Goes to show that cheaper is not always better. You get what you pay for and that is exactly Express Estate Agencies Mantra it seams. We are grateful that we have managed to sell our home however BUT this was not down to the efforts of express for sure. The website booking system for viewers is sufficient in the sense that it comes through to the seller to make a choice of availability to view the property, which is actually where our sale came from. A cold view - which led to the view directly with us to which I closed the sale and kept in touch with the purchaser throughout the period. It takes real effort to sell ones home, especially through turbulent times which we have just had and are still going through and that effort was from us directly and NOT express. I am grateful for the efforts of the progressor though and this should be mentioned to her.
